In the beginning of this briefing I have three brief announcements to make. You might have seen the billboards about the Passport Seva Project and the Conference. I am happy to inform you that the Ministry is celebrating the completion of 50 years of the Passport Act 1967. It was on 24th June, 1967 that the Passport Act came into effect. In this effect the Passport Seva Divas and Passport Officers Conference are being held today at the Ministry.
